Prior to joining the Best Beginnings family, all staff members go through a multi-level extensive interview process. Background and job references are checked. They are also fingerprinted and an FBI report is attached to their file. We also check the DHS child abuse registry.
Upon hiring, all staff members go through our orientation process which includes learning Best Beginnings' goals and philosophy, policies, procedures, curriculum, etc. Special emphasis is placed on safety, security, hygiene, health, sanitation, first aid, and CPR. Staff members are required to provide a physical signed by a licensed physician showing that they are physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing duties relating to children.
Ongoing training and workshops are provided to ensure our staff's professional development.
